Mr. Crack was confirmed in this position at the Annual General Meeting. He is well placed to take on this role, having served on the executive committee in recent years and been involved with the CHUS Foundation since 2015. A lawyer at TCJ, with strong business acumen, he will continue to bring his broad experience to our organization.

“We're at a turning point, because with all the upheaval in the healthcare network, the Fondation du CHUS wants to assume a greater leadership role and contribute even more to the health of the people of the Estrie region. We're fortunate to have a university hospital in our region, and it's important for me to work towards achieving the goals of maintaining this university mission, and supporting excellence in medical care and research. The strategic planning we'll be putting in place will go a long way towards achieving this. I'm proud of our CHUS, and it's my fervent wish that people of all generations will share this pride and support the cause of healthcare.”

- Yannick Crack, Chairman of the Board

We took advantage of the Annual General Meeting to warmly thank Jean-François Bérubé for his four years as Chairman of our Board of Directors. It's already the end of his second term, in which his determination to move the Fondation du CHUS forward has been at the heart of his concerns, and has motivated the entire team.

“It's motivating to see first-hand the great improvements the Fondation du CHUS is making to better care for the people in our community. Our objectives are ambitious, and in recent years we have succeeded in structuring the organization and equipping ourselves with the tools we need to achieve them.
In the midst of the pandemic, we relaunched our major campaign to raise $48 million, surpassing our objective. I'm really very happy about this, and it's thanks to everyone's efforts! Donors, volunteers, participants in our events... your support has been invaluable, and will be just as valuable in the coming years of change in the healthcare network. Keep on giving! We have a university hospital center that is unique in the region, and I'm proud to have been able to contribute, along with my colleagues on the Board of Directors and the entire Foundation team, to the efforts to maintain and develop it. Working in concert with people of heart, supported by a committed community, has only motivated me even more to want to make a difference!”

- Jean-François Bérubé, outgoing Chairman
