An astronomical amount of $1,036,308 was announced thanks to the generosity of the participants who experienced an extraordinary theme evening that transported them into the technological world of space. The 740 guests, the largest audience in the entire history of the event, literally hit the jackpot for patients in Eastern Townships!

“Since the very first year of the event, I have always been delighted to see how our business community is mobilizing for the CHUS Foundation and for health. This year is really exceptional, especially in this uncertain economic context that could have influenced the result. I am very grateful to all the participants of the dinner and the auction who allowed us to reach a more than ambitious goal,” explains the president of the organizing committee, Charles Custeau, who instigated this event and has been involved since the very beginning.

Thanks to this spectacular result, the CHUS Foundation will be able to meet the priority needs of the Fleurimont Hospital, the Hôtel-Dieu and the Centre de recherche du CHUS in order to acquire high-tech equipment or even support research. An amount of $104,000, the result of a special collection during the evening, will be dedicated to the pediatric oncology unit at the CHUS in order to support the care offered to children with cancer. Since 2019, thanks to donations, the CHUS has been part of the Children's Oncology Group (COG), which provides access to research protocols to treat most young patients here in Sherbrooke.

“I would like to thank the members of the organizing committee and our various partners for making such a great team with the permanence of the Fondation du CHUS. It is this collaboration that has allowed us to have such a resounding success,” said Martin Clermont, Director General of the Fondation du CHUS.

We'll see you on the 15th edition next year!
