A mobile X-ray unit has been acquired to provide rapid access to medical imaging directly at the bedside of hospitalized patients. This equipment addresses the growing needs, particularly in neonatal and pediatric intensive care, and the evolving standards of care. It optimizes interventions while providing a more stable, safe, and humane environment.

To calm and distract children, and make their emergency room experience more pleasant, staff are equipped with a range of tools, from virtual reality headsets to sensory toys. The Gentle Care program, an initiative by the emergency team at Fleurimont Hospital, aims to reduce children's anxiety and make their care experience more reassuring and humane.

Individuals living with mental health challenges have the opportunity to attend Les impatients workshops in Sherbrooke. Through art therapy, participants develop self-confidence, overcome isolation, and build social connections. Donations make it possible for this activity to be offered completely free of charge to individuals receiving care at Hôtel-Dieu.

The Sherbrooke Teen Pregnancy Clinic offers pregnant adolescents and young mothers care tailored to their needs. These teens receive support that takes into account their age and the psychosocial challenges influencing their lives.

People needing intervention for a stroke, cerebral aneurysm, or to correct a vascular malformation can now rely on a new biplane system, located in a completely modernized, state-of-the-art angiography suite. A new state-of-the-art medical imaging system has been integrated into interventional radiology. Unlike conventional systems, this biplane system captures two simultaneous views, making complex neuro-interventional procedures faster and safer.

Because every second counts when transferring critically ill patients, the CIUSSS de l’Estrie – CHUS needed to purchase a specialized transport system. Unique in Quebec, this stretcher is permanently equipped with medical and monitoring devices, enabling faster interventions and safer transport for complex transfers.
