Fonds Santé des femmes : let's take action for them

For too long, science and medicine have been thought of as masculine, ignoring the realities of women's health. Today, we need to close this gap by focusing on the peculiarities of the female body.

The Fonds Santé des femmes aims to advance science, improve clinical care and give prominence to the prevention and awareness of thousands of women.

Our aim:

Raise $3 million to support initiatives that create concrete and lasting change so that every mother, daughter and sister receives care that is tailored to their needs.

“Together, let's take action to make women's health a collective priority.”

— Chantal Lacroix, spokesperson for the Fonds Santé des femmes

Women face unique health challenges. Many of them learn to live with pain, doubt, and uncertainty. This reality has profound impacts on their quality of life, their mental health, and their sense of being heard.

My commitment to the Fonds Santé des femmes is a natural continuation. I am convinced that women deserve support adapted to their needs.

Getting involved in this cause means choosing to take concrete action by building a future where women's health becomes a collective priority.

Testimonies

Sarah Rodrigue

CHUS patient

“I was on a medical errant from the age of 14 to 33. Tears, insomnia, extreme fatigue, muscle pain, abdominal pain, suicidal thoughts: I suffered martyrdom for 5 to 10 days a month! After years of feeling crazy, I finally had access to a doctor who recognized my premenstrual dysphoric disorder and who had the knowledge, empathy, and expertise to support me. Without exaggeration, that encounter saved my life. It is high time to invest in research, to increase knowledge and to strengthen training on women's health.”

Josée Bernard

CHUS patient

“More research is needed to find other medications for ovarian cancer. I have tried several treatments and I am still positive. I really want to see my grandchildren grow up! ”

Marie-Andrée Quirion

CHUS patient

“I had aggressive breast cancer. I am in remission and enjoying every moment. It was research that cured me! ”

Nathalie Gagnon

Fonds santé des femmes Ambassador

“I am involved in the Women's Health Fund because I believe that if we women don't take care of ourselves and don't speak up, no one will do it for us. Women's health is a collective responsibility, but it starts with our commitment. I have seen too many women around me fight in silence, facing diagnoses, fears, and trials that mark a lifetime. You can't stay behind when you know these realities. I am doing this for the future, for my children, for my grandchildren and for all those who deserve to hope for a fairer, more sustainable and healthier future.”

Giving for them, for us, for the future

For too long ignored, women's realities must now become a priority. With the Fonds Santé des femmes, we are advancing research to provide them with the health care they deserve, at every stage of their lives. Donate for them!
