Ways to give
The significant gap between the needs of the population in terms of services and the financial support of the government motivated CHUS administrators to establish a foundation in 1978. Its role, through various means, is to solicit individuals, businesses and industries who believe in the CHUS’ specific mission.
The beneficiary is at the heart of the CHUS Foundation. To this effect, administration fees set at the lowest possible level, allow the Foundation to devote more than 85% of funds collected to improve services offered to patients. Such a performance is worth mentioning.
Since it was incorporated in 1978, the CHUS Foundation has invested more than $35 million in the hospital centre.
These amounts have made it possible for the CHUS to carry out major projects and developments in the field of specialized medical equipment, medical research and employee training.
Major Gift
A major gift allows the donor to ensure the long-term survival of the CHUS Foundation. This type of gift usually entails a memorandum of understanding between the parties. A major gift is often spread out into annual payments over three to 10 years.
To make a major gift contribution,
we invite you to contact us at 819 820-6450 or 1 866 820-6450.
Summary of different donation types
Gift to the General Fund and Specific gift
There are several ways of making a donation to the CHUS Foundation. You can provide financial support to the general account, which is reserved for purchasing specialized and ultra-specialized medical equipment and/or research. This financial support is distributed according to the hospital’s list of priorities set annually by the committee of department heads. Another way of donating is for you to specify which department or research project you wish your money to support.
Gift to a Special Fund
The CHUS Foundation also manages different funds, which have their own distinct missions and to which you can contribute directly.
