The Jean-Besré Recognition Award

A great man, a man of action, but first and foremost a Sherbrookois. A man who never forgot his roots.

A man whose availability for the CHUS Foundation never wavered. He was the Patron of Honour at four telethons in addition to being actively involved in some of the CHUS Foundation’s activities.

His sense of belonging to the region and its residents was apparent in the gleam of his eye. His smile, laugh and sense of humour were regularly shared with the many volunteers who had the pleasure of working with him.

For you, Jean Besré, the CHUS Foundation wishes to keep your memory alive and recognize the work of those like you who dedicate themselves to a cause and who believe in the compassion of humanity.

For you, Jean Besré, we will lend your name to the Prix Reconnaissance (recognition award) and award it annually to an individual who we feel deserves recognition for his or her work on behalf of the CHUS Foundation.

Here’s to you, Jean Besré. Thank you for all you have given us.

From this day forward, and for many more years to come, we will remember you. We will remember your warmth and dedication.
