The CHUS Foundation began serving the community 30 years ago. To mark its anniversary, the Foundation has chosen a new theme, Confidence, and a new slogan: "I am confident". Confidence is an important element for patients in the process of recovery. Confidence also involves the institution, staff and quality of care. It cannot be said too often that health is our most precious gift, and so it is crucial to have confidence in those taking care of us. The theme of confidence is simple, but strong. |
This new logo begins with a self-adhesive bandage symbolizing that the process of recovery is underway. The face of a young girl looking confidently towards the operating room appears on the bandage. Childhood symbolizes life, hope and the future.

Other people express the same theme: a young pregnant woman represents motherhood, life and future generations. Then, aging is illustrated in the image of an older man having the kindly look of a father or grandfather. The style of lettering was also carefully chosen. The "I" is handwritten to demonstrate that confidence is linked to an individual. |

To say, "I am confident" is to adopt the meaning of the expression, the word confidence being in red. The style of lettering is square and solid, as if a mark of approval has been affixed. Thus, the slogan expresses strong conviction.

This evocative theme will also be effective on the radio phone-in campaign. The warm and soothing voice of Jacques Thisdale further expresses the idea of confidence. Three performers have generously agreed to record a personal message in support of the CHUS Foundation: Luce Dufault, Richard Séguin and Vincent Vallières.
