The Ambassadors

Banque Nationalecoopérative funéraire de l'Estrie

With the goal of getting closer to populations served by the Centre hospitalier universitaire de Sherbrooke, the CHUS Foundation implemented, in early 2001, a major recognition program whose primary objective is to ensure a broad representation within the various communities.

To achieve this, women and men, enthusiastic and dedicated to the advancement of health care are inducted into the Ambassadors group. To make sure that these individuals are recognized within their respective milieus, the CHUS Foundation presents them with a certificate at a public event.

By implementing its Ambassadors program, the CHUS Foundation wishes to publicly recognize the Foundations’ contributions, but also provide the needed encouragement and hope to the population of an entire area on the CHUS’ mission of well-being accomplished over these many years.

For the CHUS’ management, this program is in line with the new direction adopted by the hospital centre – it brings it closer to the population and helps it better understand the needs and expectations of its clientele.

To involve its Ambassadors, the CHUS Foundation has them participate in various protocol activities as well as exclusive events such as visits to the CHUS’ state-of-the–art units, conferences with various medical specialists, and its regular public activities.
